You can also replace the insulation with a thinner liner to adjust the warmth if you are hiking and sweating more, for example. A wrist strap reduces the chance of dropping the glove if you take it off to adjust your equipment. Hestra's Army Leather Heli Ski was originally created for ski guides in western Canada who needed a reliable and warm ski glove for long, cold days in the snow. This 5-finger women's glove has a slimmer cut to fit women's narrower hands but is sewn in the same hardwearing, weather-resistant combination of goatskin leather and 3-layer polyamide fabric as the men's version. A range of smart functions come in handy when you can't head indoors to warm up that often. For example, the liner is easy to remove and dry, or replace with a thinner inner glove when hiking uphill. The Army Leather Extreme is one of Hestra's warmest models, designed for severe cold and really tough weather. It has the same hardwearing outer as Hestra's other Army Leather models but extra strong high-function G-Loft insolation. Perfect in cold winter climates and for lower levels of activity, e.g. dog sledding, or snowmobile riding over long distances. The liner is removable and easy to dry or wash. Or replace with a thinner lining if the temperature or activity levels rise. The microfleece liner is comfortable against the skin, and the synthetic insulation adds warmth and wicks away moisture. The model is designed to perform reliably with a high cuff that shuts out snow and cold. The snowlock is easily adjusted with one hand, as is the wrist width.
